Two Week Intensive Intervention Project Initiated by the CIB
The Two Week Intensive Intervention Project is aimed at changing the attitudes of young adults towards crime and its victims through education and a greater understanding of the changing needs of society and our new generation of young adults.
Everyday concerned and frightened members of the public hear through the media or from
eye witness accounts of more and more acts of anti-social behaviour from either an individual, group or
gang that have attacked, beaten, destroyed, wrecked, or caused fear and intimidation to members of their
local, and wider communities, and yet these are our children, and our hope for the future. Although I agree
that society now has the biggest social problem that we have ever faced since the last world war, this is a
problem that can be overcome with understanding and listening to the needs of the new generation of
teenagers. Never in any generation before us have young adults, as the ones we have today, been so well
educated in all areas of life, we now need to harness that education and enthusiasm and redirect them to a
more worth while, fruitful and productive law abiding life.
